The National Council on International Trade Development (NCITD) was founded in 1967 and celebrated it's 55th anniversary in 2022. NCITD is a nonprofit membership organization supported by American industry, a legal regulatory trade association (501c6) that focuses on U.S. compliance issues and regulations.
NCITD’s primary objective is to keep our membership informed while maintaining direct contact with the regulatory policy-makers. We are dedicated to providing direct expertise on a wide range of international trade topics, focusing on; global trade regulations, trends in geopolitical politics and enforcement developments, as well as new and emerging issues that shape and impact the global trade community. NCITD members are a diverse group of large, mid-sized, and small law firms, corporations, consulting firms, and nonprofits. The member representation includes exporters and importers, freight forwarders and brokers, carriers, banks, attorneys, trade groups, and universities.
By joining NCITD you gain direct access to the policy makers who participate in government and international relations. You also gain access to our membership – experienced professionals who can provide practical perspectives on compliance with complex regulations.
The NCITD assists its members in adapting to the ongoing changes in international trade through a support network of professionals offering assistance and advice on specific problems. Our monthly meetings with U.S. Government officials help to provide up-to-date information and a forum for discussion of best practices. All NCITD meetings are also closed to the press and off the record. We invite you to join us at one of our future trade meetings, to participate in one-on-one dialogues with government officials responsible for designing and implementing the rules and regulations for international trade. Find out more about our monthly trade meetings here.
